Estimate the sale before offering installments
For an illustrative $2,000 sale, a 15% financing fee is $300, leaving $1,700 after that fee alone. At 20%, the fee is $400 and the remainder is $1,600. These are calculations, not payout quotes: they exclude other applicable charges, taxes, refunds, reserves and withdrawal costs.
Use the amount left after costs to plan delivery. Write down your fulfillment expense, refund allowance and required cash buffer alongside the financing calculation. A payment option should fit the economics of the offer before you promote it.
Check business eligibility first
Whop’s application requirements include a verified payments account, a complete store, an eligible business category, at least $30,000 processed from 10 or more customers over 90 days, and a dispute rate below 2%. New Whop businesses must provide 90 days of processor statements showing transactions and disputes. Eligibility and application
Gather the actual processing statements and a clear description of what buyers receive, when delivery happens and how customers get support. Meeting published thresholds does not guarantee approval.
Separate the fee from cash availability
Whop says financing partners handle buyer repayments; Sezzle orders settle on a 15-day basis. Eligibility also varies by provider and customer location. Financing options
Splitit sales carry a 15% reserve held for 180 days, separately from any account reserve. A reserve affects when money becomes available and should be tracked separately from the transaction fee. Splitit seller reserves
Build your cash forecast around funds available for withdrawal. Avoid planning supplier payments or delivery commitments solely around the gross checkout amount.
Prepare your checkout
Choose the right pricing structure
Use a one-time price for financing. Recurring subscriptions are excluded from this financing flow. Pricing restrictions
Check the buyer’s route
Review country, currency and purchase limits for the intended provider. Approved businesses do not get every option for every buyer. Provider availability
Review the offer
Make the price, delivery schedule and support process easy to find. Then review the checkout and your cash forecast together.

Common questions
Can buyers finance a monthly subscription?
Whop’s published financing flow supports one-time payments. A subscription needs a different payment arrangement. Financing requirements
Does business approval guarantee buyer approval?
No. Checkout options depend on buyer eligibility and the provider’s conditions. Financing options
Is the merchant financing fee the buyer’s interest rate?
No. Keep your selling costs separate from the repayment terms the buyer sees. Ask the buyer to read the provider’s displayed agreement before accepting it.
Should I budget only for the financing percentage?
No. Include delivery costs and a cash buffer, then confirm the account’s actual charges, reserves and withdrawal terms before setting your budget.
