Make the change in five stages

  1. Map the existing sale

List products, prices, order bumps, upsells, coupon rules, receipts, delivery actions, and tracking. Mark which functions are essential and which can remain in their current tools.

  2. Separate new sales from renewals

Record where each active subscription is billed. A new default provider or checkout URL is not evidence that existing billing credentials and renewal schedules transferred. Confirm that work separately before changing legacy billing.

  3. Configure the selected route

For GoHighLevel, the documented sequence is installation, connector verification, payment-method setup, then selecting Whop under Payments → Integrations in the intended sub-account. For other carts, start by defining the replacement checkout and delivery requirements. GoHighLevel setup steps.

  4. Reconcile the full journey

Check the charged amount, customer record, receipt, access or fulfillment, cancellation behavior, and attribution. Test a failed or abandoned payment so it cannot be mistaken for a completed purchase.

  5. Document the changeover

Record the date new sales begin using Whop. Preserve processing history and historical analytics in their original systems. Reconcile reporting across that date before treating it as one continuous dataset.

Confirm the implementation scope

WhopDFY provides free payments-account setup. Fulfillment connections and custom implementation start from $500 after scope is established through an audit. Request an audit with your current checkout and the tools you want to keep.

Common questions

Can I keep my existing website?

Usually that is the starting plan: keep effective pages and change only the payment entry point and required connections. Confirm the site’s available editing options during the audit.

Can I add Whop directly inside ThriveCart?

The reviewed native-processor documentation does not support that route. Do not assume an automation tool can add an unsupported payment gateway. ThriveCart’s restriction.

Will my upsells and automations carry over?

Treat them as requirements to map and test. Keeping a sales page does not establish that its cart-specific upsells, triggers, or reporting work with a different checkout.

Does switching move my processing history?

Do not assume it does. Future billing, past transaction records, and historical analytics need separate decisions and verification.
