What the documentation establishes

Whop’s current ecommerce guide documents creating an offer, collecting fulfillment details, and using webhooks through Zapier to trigger delivery. It does not provide a complete Shopify checkout replacement procedure. Treat the supported route and your store’s eligibility as items to verify before implementation. Whop ecommerce documentation.

Shopify’s native provider process uses the payment options available in the store’s admin, and availability can vary by location and configuration. An app that sends orders to Shopify does not by itself prove that Whop is selectable through that process. Shopify provider configuration.

Audit the actual order flow

  1. Identify what stays

List your storefront, catalog, inventory locations, shipping rules, fulfillment apps, customer emails, and subscription tools. Start from keeping the parts that already serve your business.

  2. Confirm the integration’s job

Ask for current documentation showing where the buyer pays and how the resulting order reaches Shopify. Confirm whether the route handles fulfillment only, uses an external checkout, or is an approved native provider for this store.

  3. Check every required field

Map product and variant identifiers, quantities, discounts, currency, delivery address, shipping selection, and the final amount. Establish which system owns inventory changes and prevents duplicate orders.

  4. Test operations after payment

Run a representative order through fulfillment, then check refund and cancellation handling. Verify stock, customer emails, tracking, and reconciliation. Include an unavailable item and a payment that fails before fulfillment.

  5. Plan the changeover

Keep a tested rollback path. Treat existing subscription billing, processing history, and historical analytics separately from new orders. Compare both systems during the transition before relying on combined reports.

Account setup and store integration have different scopes

WhopDFY’s payments-account setup is free. Shopify fulfillment work and custom implementation start from $500, with feasibility and scope confirmed after an audit. Request an audit to identify a documented route before altering checkout.

Common questions

Does connecting fulfillment replace Shopify checkout?

No conclusion follows from fulfillment alone. Verify the buyer’s payment screen and payment provider separately from the system receiving the order.

Can I simply select Whop in Shopify settings?

We have not verified that as a universal route. Shopify directs owners to the providers available for their store and region. Shopify’s provider guidance.

Can I keep my Shopify website?

That is the starting objective. The audit should establish whether a supported payment and fulfillment route works with the existing storefront and apps.

Will Whop import my old Shopify analytics?

Do not assume that. Whop’s revenue metrics describe payments to the Whop account; preserve Shopify’s historical reporting and reconcile future data explicitly. Whop metric definitions.

Should I disconnect my previous provider immediately?

Plan legacy returns first. Shopify specifically advises retaining the previous provider’s credentials for returns on earlier orders. Shopify’s switching guidance.
